Foreigners for Work Purpose are Exempted from PU Letter

1. Foreign employment personnel (those with employment permit or employment permit notice) who have been approved to come to China by the competent authorities of our country need not apply for an invitation letter for foreign personnel to come to China, may apply for the visa directly to our country overseas visa authority (needs the concrete material to request the applicant to consult the overseas embassy) ;

2. The spouses and minor children of foreign nationals (including foreign employees already working in China) who have an employment permit or notice of an employment permit may apply directly for a visa to our embassy abroad on the basis of proof of kinship, no need to hold an invitation to China;

3. The policy of invitation letter for foreigners who come to China for short-term business trip has not been informed of the change at present, and they are still applying according to the original policy.

At present, foreign offices have not issued relevant announcement, whether all foreign offices accept Pu invitation letter to submit Z/S/Q visa application, is not clear; If some resident agencies still require an invitation letter from the government to accept visa applications, please refer to the response of the resident agencies.
